Developing energy advisory service for housing companies

I am currently in charge of coordinating the developing our public service. We promote and give unbiased advice on housing company energy renovations and energy efficiency. The team consists of 8 energy experts who advice housing companies on a day to day basis, and 2 employees that focus on development and coordination.

The main goal of our service is to have a reducing impact on Helsinki’s carbon emissions from heating. Our team works quite like a startup inside the city of Helsinki’s enormous organization and we try to keep our service customerfriendly. Our service is funded from the Helsinki City carbon neutrality budget.

As the team and service was founded in 2021 from scratch, we have had to create a lot of practices and new parts to the service, starting from the name of the service. I have been supporting this process with service design from the beginning.

Recently we have focused more on the impact our service can have on reducing areal inequality and improving social sustainability.
